wizard.tell.glory Don't follow signs at the airport, use the directions on your booking confirmation instead. Head to the drop-off point behind the Sofitel hotel and park in an arrivals bay. Then check your car and keys in at the parking reception.
Once you've checked your vehicle in, you can walk to the terminal in 10 minutes. Walk from reception into the Sofitel hotel lobby, take the hotel's connecting walkway straight into Terminal 5 and then take the lift up to departures.
From 29th August 2023 London's Ultra Low Emissions Zone (ULEZ) will expand to include Heathrow. You may need to pay the daily ULEZ charge when driving through Heathrow – make sure you check before you travel.
To find out more and get yourself prepared, take a look at our
dedicated ULEZ page.
It's your responsibility to make sure that your vehicle's road tax is valid, it holds a valid MOT certificate and is roadworthy. If your car isn't legal or safe to drive, Maple Parking won't be able to drive it to the car park, and you also won't be able to get a refund.
Most standard cars (without trailers) will be accepted at the car park as long as they fit in a standard-size parking bay (2.4m x 4.8m). They cannot accept minibuses or vehicles with more than 8 passenger seats. You'll be charged extra if your car is too large. To see if the car park can take your vehicle, call them on 01895 544 382.
Returning to a different terminal? You will drop off your car and collect it from the Sofitel T5 car park. If you're returning to a different terminal let the driver know on your arrival and this can be arranged but will be subject to a £20 charge to cover staff costs and car park fees in the relevant terminal car park. If not requested and the extra fee is not paid upon check in, your vehicle will be returned to the Sofitel T5 car park.
Early or late? The car park offers a grace period up to midnight at their discretion. Any longer than this and you'll be charged the car park's standard rate of £20 per day. This is subject to change.
If your return flight plans change, please call the car park as soon as you can. They need as much notice as possible to get your car ready so you aren't kept waiting. You won't get a refund for any unused parking time.
Don't forget to print your booking confirmation and take it with you as the car park will need to see this when you arrive.
This car park comes with a ‘No Wait Guarantee'. If you have to wait longer than 10 minutes for your car to be returned you'll be refunded 25%. Any longer than 20 minutes you'll be refunded 50% and if you're waiting longer than 40 minutes you'll get all your money back. This guarantee applies as long as:
- The correct return flight number, landing date and time have been given.
- Your flight doesn't land more than 15 minutes early, unannounced.
- There aren't any vehicle issues that prevent or delay the return of your vehicle, including mechanical, electrical, fuel.
- There are no road closures or accidents on the journey.
- Heightened security doesn't slow down entry to the airport.
