The Ohio State University Airport, the Delaware Municipal airport, the Fairfield county airport are also close to Downtown Columbus. CMH, which stands for Columbus Municipal Hangar was formerly known as Port Columbus International Airport. The name was changed to John Glenn Columbus International airport on May 25, 2016, in honor of the astronaut John Glenn. CMH is primarily a passenger airport.
