The airport extends over 1,164 acres and is the second busiest in the state after Cleveland Hopkins International Airport. In 2017, the annual traffic was about 7.5 million passengers and a mix of air carriers offer 150 daily departures to 38 destinations from Ohio’s capital city. It has two runways, one terminal and 40 gates, some of which are not used. The airport was opened on July 8th, 1929 on a site that was selected by Charles Lindbergh. John Glenn Columbus International Airport is located 6 miles east of downtown Columbus, Ohio. The Ohio State University Airport, the Delaware Municipal airport, the Fairfield county airport are also close to Downtown Columbus. CMH, which stands for Columbus Municipal Hangar was formerly known as Port Columbus International Airport. The name was changed to John Glenn Columbus International airport on May 25, 2016, in honor of the astronaut John Glenn. CMH is primarily a passenger airport. Several air carriers offer over 150 daily flights to 38 destinations from Ohio’s capital city. It is the second busiest in the state of Ohio and the largest passenger airport in central Ohio. The airport is managed by the Columbus Regional Airport Authority, which also looks after the operations at the nearby Rickenbacker International airport and Bolton Field.

Parking options near the terminal-

A 7-level Garage is available with short as well as long-term parking possibilities (The levels 1-2 are restricted to rental cars), right opposite the Passenger Terminal.
